Welcome to MOtherNest

A space for the woman becoming a mother.

Thoughtful workshops, meaningful practices, and real connection with a community of women exploring the inner journey.

Because it takes a village to raise a mother.

You can prepare for a baby. But how do you prepare for the woman you're becoming?

MotherNest offers space to explore this inner transformation, on your own terms.

Find Your OWN Way

Motherhood shifts something in us. It invites us to reconsider what matters, discover new parts of ourselves, and find our footing in a changing world.

Find Your People

Some things are easier to navigate when we're not alone. Find women you can be honest with, learn alongside, and connect with beyond the surface.

Prepare with Intention

Birth, postpartum and early motherhood deserve more than a checklist. Explore what matters to you and discover the support you need along the way.

A note from Dorothee

I'm Dorothee — a mother of two, a poet, and the founder of MotherNest.

When I became a mother for the first time, I experienced postpartum depression and anxiety. It was a disorienting chapter that led me to question how we can better support women through this transition.

That question led me to the study of matrescence — the profound transformation of becoming a mother — and to discover the practices, perspectives, and people that helped me find my footing.

My pregnancy journal, Rooted, grew from a desire to create space for women to slow down, reflect, and connect with themselves before meeting their babies. MotherNest is an extension of that same intention: bringing together thoughtful resources, trusted voices, and the kind of connection that reminds us we were never meant to do this alone.

I believe women deserve more than another set of rules about how to be a good mother. They deserve room to listen inward, to ask their own questions, and to discover what matters to them.

MotherNest is my way of helping create that space — with curiosity, care, a little wonder, and a deep belief in the power of a village.

I'm so glad you're here.

With warmth, Dorothee
